Japan Day
On October 21st we are holding a Japan Day in Manchester. This is going to be our most ambitious event yet. Japan Day will be held in the magnificent Great Hall, in Manchester Town Hall, which has a floor area of 5000 sq. ft, or if you prefer, 300 tatami mats!
Planning for this event is still at an early stage. We will need the support of our membership in order to make this event a success. We would welcome suggestions regarding the content of this event, as well as practical help in both preparation and help on the day. What would you like to see at the Japan Day? What would attract the general public? Please let us have your ideas.

Anticipating people with scant knowledge of Japan,I suggest we set
out a map showing the various islands, and expand on its population, the known Japanese companies, and in effect give a potted history of the country, and its Royal family.I have not been there myself, but have written to a Prof of English who has visited me twice here on Merseyside
